Slow websites, on purpose

Fast to load, unhurried to read — that's the balance we chase. A site can be instant to interact with and still take its time telling you something.

We use motion the way an editor uses white space: to set rhythm. A heading that rises a beat after you arrive, a marquee that drifts at reading speed, a project that fades in as you reach it. Each cue says here, look at this, now this.

The rule we keep coming back to: every animation has to earn its place. If it doesn't guide attention or reward a scroll, it's noise — and it's the first thing we cut.
